Patient Placement Systems Eric Christ Earns the Designation of CPHIMS

Eric Christ recognized as Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) by HIMSS

ATLANTA, September 16, 2008 - HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society), the premier association for leadership in the management of technology, information and change in healthcare, is proud to announce that Patient Placement Systems President Eric Christ earned the designation of Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS). The CPHIMS is a national credential that provides formal recognition of knowledge and competency in healthcare information and management systems.

"HIMSS congratulates all of the individuals who have earned the CPHIMS designation," said H. Stephen Lieber, HIMSS President/CEO. "We are confident these CPHIMS certified professionals will add significantly to the betterment of healthcare as a whole."

Christ has 17 years of leadership experience in marketing and product management with information technology companies. He came to Patient Placement Systems from McKesson Corporation, a Fortune 15 provider of healthcare software and services, where he held several senior management positions, including vice president of marketing and product development, vice president of operations, and interim CIO for McKesson's subsidiary in the United Kingdom. Christ is active in the healthcare industries as an author and speaker, including presentations for the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and publication in Provider and Long-Term Living magazines. To earn the CPHIMS, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of work experience and education, and pass the CPHIMS examination. The CPHIMS examination tests knowledge required of a healthcare information and management systems professional in the areas of general healthcare and technology environments, systems, and administration.

The CPHIMS program supports the community of healthcare information and management systems professionals and is designed to provide an objective and rigorous assessment of professional knowledge.
